Letter to Mr. Harris
June 20, 2008
Dear Mr. Harris: On behalf of the member companies of the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC), I am writing to express the industry’s strong appreciation to you as a Member of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Natural Resources’ for the Committee’s report, Canada’s Forest Industry: Recognizing the Challenges and Opportunities. The report presents a clear understanding of the current set of challenges affecting the sector and identified a number of positive recommendations for government policy measures that would greatly improve the industry’s competitive position. The industry greatly welcomes the Committee’s report and its recommendations. In this context, I have attached for your interest a copy of FPAC’s press release and a selection of media coverage relating to the report’s release. Once again, thank you very much for your support. We look forward to continuing to work with you over the period ahead and hope you will not hesitate to contact us at any time should we be able to provide you with any assistance on industry related matters. Sincerely, Avrim Lazar President and CEO Forest Products Association of Canada fpac.ca |
