Mr. Speaker, our Government is committed to helping those hardest hit by the global recession. That’s why we introduced legislation that provides 5-20 extra weeks of EI for unemployed long-tenured workers. These Canadians have worked hard and paid premiums for several years and now need help while they search for new employment.
Can the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development please tell this House what he is hearing about this legislation from Canadians appearing before committee?
