OTTAWA – Dick Harris says the suggestion of Liberal leader Stéphane Dion to bring Taliban prisoners to Canada is illogical and irresponsible.

Harris said, “Prime Minister Harper was quick to put that suggestion to rest telling Dion that the intention of Canada's troops is to keep terrorists out of Canada, not by providing a way for them to get here.

"I was astonished at the naiveté of the Liberal leader with this suggestion, and I am continuously repulsed by the Taliban-friendly remarks that come from the Liberals with Jack Leighton NDP leader singing the same tune," continued Harris.

Harris concluded, “It is absurd that both the Liberals and the NDP are all too willing to accept the word of the Taliban over General Hillier, Commander in Afganistan.”
